Current situation
Members of the Raglan Gallery Board have been investigating options to support and grow the artist community in Cooma. To grow our artist community there must be a home base to act as a catalyst for the growth of not only new and emerging local artists but also a space where respected artists of various mediums can undertake community based workshops, classes etc.
Members of the Board (Bernadette Nater, Brigitte Mackay & Dana Abrey) are currently reviewing the option of creating a community art space in Cooma.
With support from the Economic Development Committee we would present this option to the full Board of the Raglan Gallery for endorsement to continue to investigate the possibility of sourcing a community art space.
Action plan
1. The Raglan Gallery Board is presented with the option to investigate further the possibility of sourcing a suitable building to house a community art space.
2. Members of the Raglan Gallery report back to the Economic Development Committee and the Raglan Gallery Board on its findings.
